Pochettino has signed a three-year contract with the Blues

Chelsea have appointed Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager on a three-year contract. The Argentine coach returns to the Premier League after spending the last season at Paris Saint-Germain, replacing Thomas Tuchel who was sacked last month.

Pochettino has a wealth of experience in the Premier League, having managed Tottenham Hotspur for five seasons. He led the club to the Champions League final in 2019 and was named Premier League Manager of the Season in 2016.

Chelsea will be Pochettino's fifth club of his 14-year managerial career. He has also managed Southampton, Espanyol and Newell's Old Boys.

Pochettino is expected to bring an attacking style of play to Chelsea, and he will be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title next season. The Blues are currently sixth in the table, 16 points behind leaders Arsenal.
