Marcelo Bielsa Quits Lazio
Bielsa pulls out of shock Lazio appointment just 48 hours after it was announced
The Argentinian manager, who Pep Guardiola has cited as an inspiration, has blamed the club for his decision
Marcelo Bielsa has quit Lazio on Friday just two days after he was officially appointed. The Argentinian manager, who Pep Guardiola has cited as an inspiration, has blamed the club for his decision. Lazio have announced they are to bring legal action against Bielsa after he informed them he would not be taking charge of the club this season.
Bielsa was appointed as Lazio manager on 5 July 2016, but just two days later he quit as the club's manager. He is the second manager to quit Lazio in the space of a week, following the departure of Stefano Pioli on 3 July.
Lazio are now without a manager and are facing a difficult season ahead. They have lost several key players in the summer transfer window, including Keita Balde Diao and Lucas Biglia.
